The Burt Township Planning Commission will hold two consecutive public hearings on Monday, April 20, 2009, at 7:30 PM at the Burt Township Hall, 7029 Birchwood Rd, Cheboygan, to take comments on two proposed amendments to the Zoning Ordinance. 

The first proposed amendment is pertaining to the regulation of junk, salvage materials, salvage yards and inoperable vehicles, which amends portions of  Article II: Rules of Construction and Definitions; Article III, Section 3.07: Light Industrial District; Article VI:  General Provisions and Article VII:  Supplemental Site Development Standards.

The second proposed amendment  pertaining to the reconstruction of structures on existing non-conforming lots, as well as the regulation of the following: accessory structures; fire pits; waterfront setback and the associated natural vegetations strip; and fences, walls and hedges, which amends portions of  Article VI: General Provisions.
